Standard Tunings

Piano tunings can be booked using the contact part of the site, where one of the team will call or email you back with time slots. We pride ourselves in being able to take tunings at short notice and will always find a time that suits you, the client.

Early morning and evening appointments are available at no extra cost, as are weekend appointments. For any queries regarding tunings please feel free to contact us by email or via our free phone number.

Please be aware that tuning is a fine art and the need for quiet in and around the room with the piano in is appreciated. Tunings take around an hour and any small problems found during the process will be dealt with, time permitting.

Any other problems that require more time or an extra cost will be pointed out by the technician and agreed before work commences.

Pitch Raising

Pianos will normally be tuned at their current pitch unless the customer has specified that they would for example like the pitch raised to that of concert pitch. Please note that due to the tension exerted on the piano frame and braced back, pitch changes can take a little time to settle.

A pitch raise will take around 3 hours and it is advised to re tune the piano within a month of a pitch raise to stabilize the piano at its new pitch. As above please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
